A Philadelphia police officer was hit by a car trying to flee a traffic stop on Friday. Video shared with NBC10 shows a police car roll up behind a car with sirens blaring. The car then pushes past an SUV and crashes into the back of another car before backing out. Officers then rush out of their car and try to approach the car, but the car backs up and ultimately hits an officer head-on, causing them to go flying onto the sidewalk. Other officers then force the car door open and take the suspect into custody. The identity of the suspect and why they were being pursued is not yet known. The officer was listed in stable condition. SkyForce10 was over the scene to find several cars were spotted mangled together along the roadway outside at the 5600 block of Germantown Avenue at around 5 p.m.
